Interview with Better Tomorrow, July 2011

Debut album out, tell us – what kind of feelings do that bring up in you?

Better Tomorrow – Relief, happiness. We're very proud of what we came up with and we're looking forward to tour and play our songs live.

If you had to pick one song off the album that represent the essence of Better Tomorrow, which one would you pick and why?

Better Tomorrow – The essence of the album is hidden within all 3 band members. It is impossible to pick one single song to describe the band or to represent the essence...

“Home is Where Your Heart is” is your debut album, does the final result live up to the ideas and expectations you had going into the studio?

Better Tomorrow – We didn't expect things to turn out this particular way. So the result now goes far beyond our expectations.

If you had to state one emotion to describe Better Tomorrow, which one would it be and why…?

Better Tomorrow – Honesty.

Tell us a bit about the artwork and do you find cover artwork important?

Better Tomorrow – Very important. The artwork on the outside has to match the quality and the artwork on the inside. Our design shows complex beauty – so does the music.

Who and what has inspired you musically?

Better Tomorrow – Life.

Could you give a brief introduction to the lyrically ideas behind “Home is Where Your Heart is”…

Better Tomorrow  – Stick to your dreams. Listen to what your heart tells you and don't let yourself be pushed into something you don't want.

How did you end up with a name like Better Tomorrow, any interesting stories to tell?

Better Tomorrow – My brother told me 10 years ago (we were playing music together since we were kids) when the day would come and we had a serious band we would name it “Better Tomorrow”...

If you had the chance to pick your touring partners, who would it be and why?

Better Tomorrow – 30STM. We love their attitude...it's quite similar to ours.

What’s next for you, any tours planned, work on your next album…?

Better Tomorrow – Yes. Yes.

Thank you very much for answering my questions. Do you have any last rants for our readers?

Better Tomorrow – Life is fine – learn to play!
