On the rack: Ade from Darkest Era

Wretched sinner, tell us about your latest deeds of evil and spite, The Last Caress of Light before the Dawn!

Darkest Era - It is our debut album just released on Metal Blade records - an entity of emotion, grandeur, power and epic might. Mixing influences from bands like Iron Maiden, Bathory, Thin Lizzy and Irish folk - it is heavy metal thunder amidst a raging Celtic storm!

You fiend! You intend to tour the world with this devilish noise, don't you?!

Darkest Era - That is our intent! We will bring our music to every corner of the world, starting with some UK and European dates later in the year which we are working on at the moment! The live setting is where the real atmosphere and majesty of the songs unfold, it's where we are best experienced.

I reckon you have many ungodly stories from your sinful tours. You might as well give us the worst story since we're preparing to fry you anyway!

Darkest Era - There are far too many to mention, the first that springs to mind involves a deserted industrial district, snow, a brothel, a broken lighter and a man called Bartholomew. There was also the tear gas in Athens. I guess you make your own fun when on tour!!

Oh, you are indeed a wretch! If we had not caught you, what would you and your cohordes have done now? Recorded even more of your fiendish rattling?

Darkest Era - Indeed, we have a lot of music in us and a lot of ideas that we want to explore. We will regroup after hopefully touring at the end of this year and begin to bring ideas together for our second album. We will just keep driving the band forward and doing what we love doing.

Damnations! You are beyond redemption. Name the five musical pieces that you want to bring with you when we send you to hell!

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
