On the rack: Jonas Albrektsson from King of Asgard

Wretched sinner, tell us about your latest deeds of evil and spite, “Fi'mbulvintr”!

King of Asgard -It's our debut album and it's packed with the old, say Viking spirit, a blend of dark folk, death/black metal and so forth. There is thirteen tracks on the album including instrumental intro and outro. The songs varies from the very strong ones with really powerful refrains to the more low-spirited that's more like covering a sense of melancholy. The arrangements is well thought through and the vocal tracks being laid down with a lot of thought behind. Pretty simple and straight forward and I think it will more or less have something to offer the listener, be it a Viking, black or death metal listener. Not that complex really, just in the face fucking metal of death! Something for all of you to go out and buy or pinch right away at your local record dealer.

You fiend! You intend to tour the world with this devilish noise, don't you?!

King of Asgard - As a matter of fact we made our live debut this past weekend (28/8) at a release party we held here in our home town. It was a blast and from what I gather from the response a success and people that attended really liked what we gave them. So there will be concerts for sure but I'm not sure about long tours really. Festivals and sorted ones for sure, guess like next year could be the time to get it done. We'll see where this album takes us! We are a live band and now with Lars Tängmark (newly recruited 2nd guitarist) in the band we really can deliver what can be heard on the actual album. Just hope there will be an interest in booking us and such. That's what we have to face at the moment... but as for now I can only say that things seems to happen, and first out will most likely be Germany in December! We'll see in the future how far this heathen noise will take us, hopefully far far away...

I reckon you have many ungodly stories from your sinful tours. You might as well give us the worst story since we're preparing to fry you anyway!

King of Asgard - These stories are so sinful they doesn't even exist. This band is so fresh that the smell of decay has just begun. With only one single gig behind there's really nothing that is to be told unfortunately. But keep that fire burnin' and come back to us and fry us hard next time. Hopefully there will be some sinful deeds done that has to be revealed.

Oh, you are indeed a wretch! If we had not caught you, what would you and your cohordes have done now? Recorded even more of your fiendish rattling?

King of Asgard - Yeah for sure, that would most likely be the case... all for pestering peoples everyday life and be the monotonous round in every surrounding. The plague in every corner! King of Asgard is here to stay.

Damnations! You are beyond redemption. Name the five musical pieces that you want to bring with you when we send you to hell!

King of Asgard - Five copies of Mayhem's "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas", just in case it should break or if one should go missing!
