On the rack: Chris Arp from Psyopus
| |
Wretched sinner, tell us about your latest deeds of evil and spite, ‘Odd Senses’!
Psyopus – Well, it’s an album that thematically explores traumas in many forms. The music is sonically darker than the last two albums. The album is pretty insane.
| You fiend! You intend to tour the world with this devilish noise, don't you?!
Psyopus – We would like to see as much of the world as we can off of this album but, we’ll see what opportunities actually arise.
| I reckon you have many ungodly stories from your sinful tours. You might as well give us the worst story since we're preparing to fry you anyway!
Psyopus – All that comes to mind is the one time I was caught up in a ménage de toi and while I had both girls on my hands, I outwardly declared myself “The Puppet Master”.
| Oh, you are indeed a wretch! If we had not caught you, what would you and your cohordes have done now? Recorded even more of your fiendish rattling?
Psyopus – That’s what we are here for – churning out devils music for those on meth amphetamines.
| Damnations! You are beyond redemption. Name the five musical pieces that you want to bring with you when we send you to hell!
Psyopus – Iron Maiden’s “The Number of the Beast”, Slayer’s “Hell Awaits”, Metallica’s “Jump in the Fire” ep, any Deicide album, and The New Kids on the Block’s “Step by Step”.
