On the rack: Marcus Bertillson - guitarist Miseration

Wretched sinner, tell us about your latest deeds of evil and spite, 'The Mirroring Shadow'

Marcus: The Mirroring Shadow is our second full-lenght album and it will hit you hard in between your legs. It's more brutal and less melodic then the previous album. We've been searching for "our" sound and we think we are on a good way finding it.

You fiend! You intend to tour the world with this devilish noise, don't you?!

Marcus: Hope so! Nothing booked yet though but if anyone reads this and would be interested in booking us, do not hesitate to contact us! We like to tour and play as much as is possible.

I reckon you have many ungodly stories from your sinful tours. You might as well give us the worst story since we're preparing to fry you anyway!

Marcus: No, what happens on the road, stays on the road.

To drift away further away from the Scar Symmetry sound, Christian used less clean singing on this record?

Marcus: It's no clean singing on this album at all. But that is due to our musical vision and not "to drift further away".. from anything.

Oh, you are indeed a wretch! If we had not caught you, what would you and your cohordes have done now? Recorded even more of your fiendish rattling?

Marcus: Probably we would sit in some cellar somewhere, drinking and playing poker and participate in bar fights. It's mostly what we do.

Which way will your music evolve, more brutal or more melodic?

Marcus: Well... To say it like this. We will not go back to the "their angels, your demons" sound. We will continue down the path laid out for us with "THE MIRRORING SHADOW", but we will see how we will evolve it.

Damnations! You are beyond redemption. Name the five musical pieces that you want to bring with you when we send you to hell!

I, Marcus Bertilsson, would bring with me...

1. Igor Stravinsky - the sacrifice of spring

2. Antonin Dvorak - the new world symphony

3. Frank Zappa - Hot Rats

4. Deep Purple - In Rock

5. Entombed - Morningstar

Any last grants to our readers?

Marcus: Buy all of our albums, buy all of our merchandise, come to all our shows...

And start to drink blood!

This Inquisition Symphony was conducted by the Power of Metal in November in the year of our Lord 2009.
