On the rack: Coronatus

Wretched sinner, tell us about your latest deeds of evil and spite, "Porta Obscura"!

Coronatus - Porta Obscura, the brand new album! Nearly I tended to say there's nothing left to say. In comparison to "Lux Noctis", which came out on September 2007, this album is more complex. This means the structure of the songs, more and different instruments are being used. There is no gap missing! With the  finish of the album we needed something reliable. So we decided to record "Porta Obscura" again in the studio of Marcus Stock, The  Vision Bleak.

You fiend! You intend to tour the world with this devilish noise, don't you?!

Coronatus - That's our destination, nothing below! The two albums have the capacity for that, sure! This year we will force our way to play on festivals. That's the pure Rock n' Roll. All the fans, a lot of other bands. The world is one big stage and what we want do is play everywhere dammit!

I reckon you have many ungodly stories from your sinful tours. You might as well give us the worst story since we're preparing to fry you anyway!

Coronatus -  A worst story? Well let me think, I don Žt think so. Ok, some troubles here and there, but most of the time we are busy in the studio and rehearsal room, writing songs, improving the live show etc. Ok, one of the best stories I can tell you happened in Budapest, Hungary. On the next day, after a support show with Haggard and Moonsorrow we went into a quite dark and pretty bar for having lunch. Dear, they needed about one hour for making the meal. In the end the waiter came with the plates. We couldnŽt believe that. On  the rim of the plates there was written the name of the band with chocolate. Nobody told them anything. It was a nice surprise, definitely! In the end, all the people of the bar were at the concert the night before. After playing the second time in Hungary we love to be there. The people are really friendly and enthusiastic about going to concerts.

Oh, you are indeed a wretch! If we had not caught you, what would you and your cohordes have done now? Recorded even more of your fiendish rattling?

Coronatus - Of course we will have written some new songs! But we take  all the time with which every song needs. But songwrighting is not all that we do. All the time we play our songs to improve the live show. Keeping contact  with the fans during the show is one of the most important things. Above all, having fun, making a great party and show to all that Metal Rules The world!

Damnations! You are beyond redemption. Name the five musical pieces that you want to bring with you when we send you to hell!

Coronatus - Any one album from Nightwish, Subway to Sally, Pain,  Turisas, Ensiferum, Schandmaul, or Iron Maiden.
This Inquisition Symphony was conducted by the Power of Metal in March in the year of our Lord 2009.
